February 28, 2024
Bolt+, the social TV platform, has partnered with OTTera, an OTT and free ad-supported TV (FAST) solutions provider.
OTTera, which acts as a certified delivery vendor to leading global platforms, will also integrate its AdNet+ monetisation service to bring programmatic and direct sales advertising to Bolt+. In addition, OTTera will supercharge the Bolt+ platform with additional FAST channels across multiple languages.
“This exciting deal will take Bolt+ to the next level,” commented Bolt+ CEO, Jamal Hassim. “Integrating OTTera’s solutions into Bolt+ not only enriches our commercial capabilities but aligns perfectly with our vision to innovate and lead in the content space. These interactive advertising campaigns will increase the return on advertising dollars spent on Bolt+, and guide our implementation of innovative advertising solutions that will reward Bolt+ viewers for their time and engagement on Bolt+.”
OTTera CEO, Stephen Hodge, added: “Bolt+ has brought to market an engaging service where viewers and content creators alike can benefit from its growth. We’re proud to enhance its vision through our specialised solutions for content distribution and monetisation.”
The partnership will see OTTera utilise its Streambridge distribution service to help Bolt+ launch several FAST channels over the coming months, covering genres that range from documentary to Spanish language and more.
It also allows Bolt+ to capitalise on OTTera’s capabilities in maximising revenues through advanced programmatic and direct advertising for its channel partners. The overall aim is to provide viewers with live content, an immersive experience through chat rooms on live channels, and to be rewarded for engaging with advertising messages.
“This comprehensive partnership propels our ambition to deliver the premier viewing experience,” Jamal concluded. “An immersive social experience across TV, mobile and web, while rewarding engagement with advertising. With OTTera’s solutions, we’re strategically positioned for our next phase of disruptive growth.”
