For its seventh season premiere on September 3rd, Bigg Boss Telugu debuted Los Angeles-startup Proto hologram’s technology for the first time on Indian television with  host Nagarjuna beaming in to a Proto Epic hologram unit to talk to a contestant, actress Priyanka Jain (Mouna Ragam, Janaki Kalaganalede).

Bigg Boss Telugu, originally produced by Endemol Shine India which is now merged with Banjiay, and airing on Star Maa and Disney+ Hotstar, is shot at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad. Previous to its debut in India, Proto has been used on TV by Jimmy Kimmel Live. Ellen, Today, the BBC, CBS Sports HQ and more.

Proto is the original, patented hologram machine and platform that makes holoportation a reality. Acknowledged by the Wall Street Journal and the BBC as the creator of a new field of communication. Earlier this Summer, Hyderabad-based Ikonz went to the original Comic-Con in California to present iconic comic book characters Suppandi and Shambhu of Tinkle as hologram avatars via Proto.
