Roku has announced that its Weird: The Al Yankovic Story movie will premiere exclusively on The Roku Channel on November 4th.
Starring Daniel Radcliffe in the lead role, the movie tells the life story of Al Yankovic – the American singer, musician, and actor who is known for his parody songs that make light of pop culture. Yankovic himself co-wrote the screenplay with the movie’s director Eric Appel.
The movie also stars Evan Rachel Wood, Rainn Wilson, Toby Huss and Julianne Nicholson.
“When my last movie UHF came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork. I’m very happy to say we’re on schedule,” Yankovic said earlier this year. “And I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film. I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for.”
