Netflix announces Ghosn doc

Netflix has announced a feature documentary, directed by Lucy Blakstad, chronicling the rise of businessman Carlos Ghosn, his internal rivalries, the tensions he sparked within Nissan-Renault and his dramatic arrest.
In a press statement, Netflix said the French production “is a global investigative film with a team of talented journalists spanning France, Japan and the UK. It was filmed in France, Japan, the UK, Brazil & Lebanon [ …] We have worked to put a team together from France and Japan to ensure journalistic insights – coupled with an award-winning UK director with a great mix of current affairs journalism and cinematic ambition.”
It will release on Netflix in H2 2022 on a date TBD.
The feature is jut one of 25 French productions planned for 2022, at an investment of over €200 million.
Damien Couvreur, Vice-President Series France, commented: “We are proud of bringing new stories to life and reflecting the diversity of French creation in all the 25 productions, in all their variety, being released this year on Netflix”
