Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new limited series from Lucasfilm, will debut exclusively on Disney+ on May 27th. Two episodes will be available at launch.
The six episode series sees Ewan McGregor reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, whilst Hayden Christensen will also return as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. Both actors last portrayed the roles in the 2005 feature film Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. The new series begins 10 years after the events of that movie.
The cast also features Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, McGregor and Joby Harold.
It will be the third live-action Star Wars series to premiere on Disney+ following The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
