Evans signs Netflix deal

Gareth Evans, the writer and director of the likes of The Raid and Gangs of London, has signed an exclusive deal with Netflix to produce and direct films for the studio for the next several years.
Havoc, starring Tom Hardy, will be the first feature under the new creative partnership. The movie will tell the story of a detectivewho must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son, while unraveling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his home city. Hardy will also serve as a producer on the project.
Welsh-born Evans’ Apostle, a British folk-horror, was shot entirely in Wales and released on Netflix in 2018.
