Smart TV gaining momentum in Spain

Some 57.5 per cent of Spaniards now owns a Smart TV, with 49 per cent connecting to the Internet through their set. Smart TV usage is becoming increasingly common in Spain, according to the Annual ‘Report of Smart TV’ (Estudio Anual de TV conectada) made by IAB Spain.
Most Smart TV-equipped Spaniards watch movies (58.7 per cent) and TV series (40.4 per cent domestic and 53.2 per cent foreign), via apps on their set.
Over half (52 per cent) of Smart TV users are male aged between 25 and 54 years old, who on average watch 134 minutes of online TV a day.
