Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame has predictably debuted at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart – setting the highest-ever opening week of digital download sales in the process.
Just five weeks after officially becoming the highest-grossing film of all time at the box-office (surpassing Avatar), the epic superhero motion picture – which serves as a culmination of the 22-film Marvel Cinematic Universe story arc – saw a massive 335,400 downloads in its first week – smashing the previous record held by Bohemian Rhapsody, which recorded 265,000 downloads in its first eight days back in February.
Close behind in third place is the previous Avengers movie, Avengers: Infinity War, which saw some 253,000 downloads in the same period.
