July 8, 2019
From David Del Valle in Madrid
In an unprecedented move, SES Astra has launched an app to teach users how to install a satellite dish.
Available on iOS and Android the free app, called ASTRA Instalación Parábola , aims to increase the usage of the Astra 19,2° East orbital position with hundreds of FTA channels.
The app explains how to install a dish in six steps including geolocation, orientation, mast fixation, elevation adjustment, Azimut adjustment and inclination adjustment.
Once the installation process is completed, the app creates an overview of the steps taken to keep the information within all the parameters.
The app also includes additional information about the necessary tools to make the installation, security advice, direct contact with Astra and with professional installers nearby.
