Spain: Orange and Movistar fight for premium subs
March 5, 2019
Movistar and Orange are in a fierce battle to capture premium subscribers, with Netflix serving as the main attraction.
Orange has now launched two new packages incorporating Netflix to attract subscribers: Orange Love Intenso Max and Experto Max. The two packages – with prices ranging from €78 to €91 per month – include convergent services plus Netflix in HD and Ultra HD.
Orange’s move is a reaction to the integration of Netflix into Movistar which, according to the Telefónica-owned company, is boosting pay-TV subscriptions.
