Telefónica launching Movistar Junior app
November 19, 2018
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Telefónica’s pay-TV platform Movistar is launching Movistar Junior, a smartphone and tablets app with parental control features.
The app enables parents to make content adjustments for their children, such as determining age appropriate content, and limiting the time kids can spend using the app. Parents will have a PIN and will also be able to block the play screen – thus avoiding the interruption of the content if a child presses a button involuntarily.
Kids will have access to up to 90 TV series on-demand, and up to 9 different channels, both linear and VoD.
The app will roll out at the start of December, and will be available on iOS and Android devices by mid-December.
