Following earlier disagreements over content distribution, French commercial broadcaster TF1 have agreed a fresh, global distribution arrangement that allows the Canal + Group to include all TF1 Group channels in its offerings, as well as associated non-linear services.
It reinforces the partnership between the two groups by highlighting a proposal for enriched services on all screens for Canal+subscribers.
The deal allows subscribers to benefit from what Canal describes as “innovative” features around the TF1 Group’s programmes:
- Catch-up MYTF1 programming with extended broadcast windows;
- programme previews in advance of their TV broadcast;
- new features associated with TF1 Group content;
- 4K UHD quality broadcast in of leading event programmes.
All such programmes and new features will shortly be available in CANAL+ offerings and for the first time via myCANAL.
The agreement is accompanied by a new extended partnership between TF1 and Dailymotion.
