From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris
TF1’s VR app, which offered World Cup coverage during the whole tournament in Russia, has registered 120,000 downloads, according to figures directly from TF1.
Launched in partnership with the FIFA, the VR app was launched on the heels of MyTF1 VR app that went live in 2017 and has been available since June 14th.
It allowed users to access a live and immersive experience inside the stadiums and to follow 28 different matches from a VIP virtual box. Three 180° views of the ground were offered along with real time stats and the possibility to replay the best action from all angles.
The free app is still available for iPhone, iPad, Android and Samsung Gear VR headset.
