Dubai-based pay-TV operator is to relocate its call centre from the UAE to Jordan and Egypt, according o a report in Gulf newspaper The National.
Martin Stewart, the former Sky CFO now running OSN, is quoted saying that existing Dubai staff will be offered full assistance to relocate to Jordan or Egypt, but the overall intention was to improve operational efficiency and optimise costs.
Both Jordan and Egypt have significantly lower living costs and earnings than Dubai.
Stewart said that expansion in the two call centres would create new employment opportunities for Jordanians and Egyptians.
