NovelSat and ATEME collaborate
April 5, 2018
NovelSat, a specialist in satellite transmission technology, has extended its technology cooperation with ATEME, a global player in video delivery. The new collaboration between the long-time partners includes the integration of NovelSat’s PCIe-based NS10C Satellite Modulator cards and NS20C Satellite Demodulator cards into the ATEME’s TITAN software converged headend solution. The new integration was rolled out to offer broadcasters enhanced solution for HD and Ultra HD transmission by including high-efficiency satellite signal modulation within single unit video encoding/decoding, compression and acceleration.
“Our past collaboration efforts with NovelSat have led to successful technology solutions that provide significant advantages and savings for satellite broadcasters,” said Remi Beaudouin, ATEME VP Marketing. “Integrating NovelSat modulators and demodulators into our TITAN platform is another great example of how complementary technologies are even more powerful together.”
“NovelSat engineers and our colleagues at ATEME continue to single-mindedly design solutions that are easy to integrate so that the unique benefits of both systems can be combined into unified, cost-saving ‘super-solutions’,” said Efi Levinzon, NovelSat CPO. “Our PCIe-based satellite modulator and demodulator cards offer unmatched bandwidth efficiency. Together with ATEME’s high-quality, low-bitrate encoding and decoding, the TITAN platform is an easy choice for satellite broadcasters.”
