Channel 5 launching 5PRIME channel

UK commercial broadcaster Channel 5 is dropping its My5 channel and replacing it with 5PRIME. The new linear channel will launch on January 16th. My5 will continue to exist online as a catch-up VoD service.
5PRIME will feature a mix of first run original series alongside the best content from Channel 5 and spin offs of its most popualr brands. Shows confirmed for the launch schedule include Ben Fogle: New Lives in The Wild (pictured), GPs: Behind Closed Doors, World War I in Colour, Alaska: A Year in the Wild, Extraordinary People, Striking Out and The Great Fire. 5PRIME will also be new commission The Secret Life of Owls.
