BBC launching Attenborough app
November 15, 2016
BBC Earth and digital agency AKQA have produced an app collating the best of David Attenborough’s natural history broadcasts.
The free app, branded ‘The Story of Life’, contains 1,000 clips from series such as Life on Earth, The Life of Mammals and the current series Planet Earth 2.
Users can browse animals by habitat, species and behaviour. There are also “hidden” films inside the app to encourage viewers to explore.
“This is natural history for the digital age, allowing people to explore the story of life on earth and share their favourite natural history moments with the world,” commented Attenborough.
The app will be available from November 17th on iOS and Android devices globally.
