Paris-based ClubbingTV is about to shift to Ultra-HD and launch two linear channels in UHD. One service will be provided on Eutelsat’s Hot Bird satellite over Europe, while the other will be hosted by SES for North American distribution.
The channels go ‘live’ on November 1st in UHD. The channel is widely distributed on French cable TV, and is also currently shown on Meo in Portugal and some 27 countries via satellite and cable or OTT.
The music and lifestyle channel was initially launched in January 2009, and has since become home for techno and electronic music, and covers numerous music festivals around the world which feature electro-music including the famous TommorrowLand event, and high-profile music from the Amsterdam Dance Event, the Music Summit in Ibiza, the Time Warp Festival and the Barcelona Summer Week of music.
ClubbingTV says it is the world’s first channel exclusively dedicated to electronic music. It is backed by media company AB Groupe.
