Spain: Mediaset sees record profit

Mediaset Spain is breaking new records in terms of profits. The most profitable media company in the country reported profits of €117.7 million in the first half of the year, up 20.3 per cent against the same period last year.
EBITDA reached €160 million, €40.5 million more than the same period last year, with the company claiming to have the highest EBITDA in a six-month period since 2008.
Total revenues amounted to €521.6 million, up 9 per cent, with ad revenues reaching €489.1 million, up 7.7 per cent.
