SES, TELE 5 expand partnership

German commercial broadcaster TELE 5 has renewed a multi-year contract with SES, Under the agreement, SES Platform Services, a global service provider for the distribution of video content, will be providing services to TELE 5 which include editing and distributing video and metadata (such as information about license periods, pictures, trailers and brief descriptions) – from live broadcasting to video-on-demand.
Christof Wegenast, Commercial Director and Deputy CEO at TELE 5, says, “We chose SES Platform Services because it best meets our overall needs. It offers high transmission reliability, efficient tools and processes, enough flexibility for live broadcasting, and the necessary expertise for delivering content management and VoD services.”
