beIN Sports sub-licenses UEFA matches to TF1
October 2, 2015
From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris
French pay-TV channel beIN Sports has confirmed a sub-licence agreement with TF1 for 11 additional matches of the 2016 UEFA championship, that will be played in France next June.
Following this agreement, the final phase of the competition will also be available on free TV.
Like the 22 matches that have previously been sub-licensed to TF1 and M6 for €25 million, these eleven matches will be co-broadcast live with beIN Sports.
TF1 will offer 22 matches with 11 on M6, but Al Jazeera’s sport channel will be the only place to watch all 51 matches live.
