BT Sport has announced the next live UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League group stage matches that will be available on its Freeview BT Sport Showcase channel.

The coverage kicks off with Manchester City hoping to return to winning ways against Borussia Mönchengladbach on September 30th after suffering defeat by Juventus in the first round of games.

The following night will see UEFA Europa League live coverage on BT Sport Showcase with
Italian giants Lazio taking on French side St Étienne in Rome on October 1st.

Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “We are continuing to show some terrific games on BT Sport Showcase and will do so throughout the season both in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

“This is great news for fans who want to watch football on Freeview in two of Europe’s major club competitions and will show the high quality of our exclusively live coverage to those who are not already BT Sport customers.”
