Zappware adds personalised home screen
September 8, 2015
Zappware, a provider of digital TV products for pay-TV operator, has extended the User Interface of its end-to-end DVB/IPTV/OTT platform with a personalised home screen. Using the new personalised home screen, end-users have direct access to the content that is most relevant to them. They can browse both Live as well as On Demand content, with the size and the position of the items indicating the appropriateness for the end-user based on calculated user profiles.
The personalisation of the content is accomplished by a direct integration of the Zappware platform with Ncanto, XroadMedia’s distinctive content discovery and recommendation solution. Ncanto finds relevant content according to the consumers’ behaviour, interest and social profiles and allows service providers to maximise their revenues streams by blending business goals with user profiles.
“In order to turn viewers into consumers, we are continuously researching new user experiences that re-discover the simpleness of TV”, says Marc Vervoort, Creative Director at Zappware. “The new personalised home screen allows end-users to discover new relevant content in an intuitive and stress-free way. By simplifying decision making for the end-user, it lowers thresholds for accessing content and hence increases consumption.”
