EBS EPG data for BT’s AMC
September 8, 2015
EBS, the full-service provider of EPG data for platforms and channels worldwide, has announced that it is providing all the EPG data for new entertainment channel AMC, which launched on August 28th and is available exclusively to BT customers.
EPG data is supplied to BT TV and Sky via EBS’ flagship data software solution, Pawa. The system takes all the scheduling information for AMC and restructures it to meet the specific requirements of the platforms, providing one point of contact throughout the process with a clear, defined workflow. As well as the linear channel, EBS will also provide the EPG data for its VoD service. This includes the required metadata for programmes, driven from the same library of information as the linear channel ensuring consistency. Images for the AMC on-demand area are also prepared and delivered via the Pawa system, powering the on-screen UI.
Keith Bedford, EBS’ Managing Director explains, “AMC has been eagerly anticipated by BT customers in the UK, with it broadcasting some of the best drama available on television. This latest project is testament to our strong relationship with both BT and AMC and we’re absolutely delighted to have been selected to supply EPG data services for the channel.”
