August 3, 2015
Broadcast and pay-TV technology specialist Motive Television has revealed that Motive Television Services Ltd, its fully-owned subsidiary, has been appointed Prime Contractor and System Integrator for the upcoming launch and continued operations of South Africa’s Siyaya Free To Air TV (PTY) Ltd. television services.
Motive is responsible for ensuring that the major international vendor/suppliers selected by Siyaya, with Motive’s assistance, deliver on their commitments on time and on budget. This is in addition to Motive developing, installing and testing its own technology and continuing to advise and share its expertise and experience.
The role is in addition to the original contract signed on 30 December 2013, which was expected to generate revenue of in excess of £1 million over the life of the contract.
Motive expects to generate gross revenue from the new contract of in excess of $5 million over the next three to five years.
