Telecom Argentina entering pay-TV market?

Telecom Argentina has issued notice to the county’s Stock Exchange and the National Securities Commission that it is considering entering the local pay-TV and audiovisual sector. It says it will hold a General Assembly on June 22nd and then make a decision.
Argentine law now provides for telcos to enter into the provision of pay-TV, although the rules do not extend to providing DTH services.
Telecom Argentina is already active in terms of broadband (as well as fixed lines and cellular).
