PeerTV adds DVB-T2 to STBs
March 31, 2015
PeerTV, the OTT technology solutions provider, has successfully integrated DVB-T2 connectivity to its standard set top box. PeerTV recently announced that it was also adding voice control to its HEVC equipped set top boxes.
PeerTV says DVB-T2 is the world’s most advanced DTT system, offering more robustness, flexibility and at least 50 per cent more efficiency than any other DTT system. It supports SD, HD, Ultra-HD, mobile TV and any combination thereof.
PeerTV products with DVB-T2 connectivity are currently being tested by a number of potential customers interested in enabling their users to enjoy both OTT and terrestrial TV services, using just one unified box.
In addition to the DVB-T2 add on, the PeerTV set top box can stream video and audio content from IPTV channels, OTT video distribution, VoD stores, external USB hard drives and content stored on a home network.
