SBS Belgium chooses for an innovative production platform from SDNsquare
September 10, 2014
SBS has chosen SDNsquare’s WARP as its new state-of the art production platform. The award-winning WARP is the only truly scalable software solution available today that delivers predictable performance for storage systems. It is independent of the underlying server and storage hardware allowing cost-efficient, fully scalable and future proof production. WARP delivers outstanding interoperability with third party applications such as Avid, Adobe, Final Cut Pro, MediaHaven, Resolve, Da Vinci and numerous other editing clients. Easy management as well as control of current and on-going CAPEX and OPEX costs were crucial characteristics for SBS in making their choice. WARPs management interface for the underlying GPFS filesystem allows full control and monitoring of the overall storage.
“At SBS we were looking for a solution that allows editing and handling of our content on central storage without local caching. WARP is the most suited solution in the market today that can fulfil all our requirements for the foreseeable future. We were also very impressed by WARP’s unique feature of ‘bandwidth control’ that allows us to manage and guarantee bandwidth for each individual user or client of the central storage”, says Bart Andries, IT Manager of SBS in Belgium.
The overall system integration services, which took place in July this year, were performed by the Belgium System Integrator, CEGEKA.
SDNsquare will present its innovative solutions from 12-16 September at IBC 2014 in Amsterdam at their booth 10.F42.
