Tribune Media Services integrates with Gracenote
June 11, 2014
Tribune Media Services (TMS) is integrating with Gracenote.
Tribune has decided to merge the two brands under Gracenote with the single mission to serve as the global provider of entertainment data and technologies. The new Gracenote will focus on turning its trove of big music and video data into actionable insights that enable recognition, discovery and recommendation across all music and video platforms.
Gracenote will continue to use the TMS Unique ID, the industry standard for synchronising TV shows and movies across over-the-top, cable and satellite services. It enables viewers to conduct true universal searches for their favorite shows and movies across linear and streaming services and effortlessly post information about their favorite shows to Twitter and other social media channels.
