RRsathas been selected to be the key delivery partner of Direct-From-Home Network (DFH Network) for North American distribution. DFH Network’s package is the first to be distributed via RRsat’s recently launched fourth platform of the Galaxy 19 satellite, host of America’s premiere ethnic content. The deal’s revenues are expected to exceed $6 million.
DFH Network is the premier producer and provider of Turkish programming in North America, providing a full range of general entertainment, news and sports content to the region’s Turkish speaking residents. RRsat’s solution includes uplinking DFH’s packaged offering to the G19 satellite, allowing for direct-to-home distribution across North America.
“RRsat’s extensive experience, dedication and professionalism made DFH Network’s transition to its Galaxy 19 platform remarkably smooth,” said Burak F. Cerrahoglu, Vice President of DFH Network Inc. “We chose RRsat because it was able to provide a seamless, instant solution for us. We are delighted with how easily the transition went and look forward to a long and productive relationship with RRsat.”
“RRsat is pleased to welcome DFH Network as the first package on our new Galaxy 19 platform,” said Ohad Har-Lev, President of RRsat America. “With our new G19 platform we are able to provide broadcasters with a simple, high-quality delivery solution that will continue to grow and improve. This, coupled with our track record and full range of media services we offer, is proving to be very compelling for customers who are looking for the best solution for domestic as well as global content distribution.”
