Thailand to delay digital TV auction?

Reports from Bangkok state that Thailand’s National Broadcasting & Communications Commission (BCC) is being forced to delay the upcoming auction process for a raft of digital TV channels. The pressure has come from parliament’s Standing Committee on Political Development (SCPD), which hasn’t supplied details on the reasons for the delay.
Seemingly the SCPD wants a restructuring of what was in essence a beauty parade of financially well-heeled bidders, and for the final list of bidders to be more focused on their benefits for the community at large, and not just the strength of their financial bids.
