Univision covers Liga MX football

Univision Deportes, the sports arm of Univision Communications serving Hispanic America, has announced extensive live coverage of Mexico’s top-flight league –Liga MX – as this summer’s Apertura 2013 Tournament begins. Over 110 matches will air live across Univision’s multiple platforms – more than doubling those available on non-Univision networks – with more than 50 of those matches airing exclusively on the Univision Deportes Network (UDN).
“Univision is proud to be the home of the most watched soccer league in the U.S.,” said Juan Carlos Rodriguez, president of Univision Deportes. “Also, this is a historic season for us, with the arrival of two more of Liga MX most popular Clubs, Chivas de Guadalajara and Cruz Azul, Univision Deportes now holds rights to a total of 13 Clubs and is now the home of the top-four Mexican Clubs.”
Additionally, all of the noteworthy matches mentioned below will simulcast online and mobile through Univision’s digital video network, UVideo.
