Technicolor has revealed it will provide DirecTV with the only authorised head-end video distribution solution for the US hospitality market representing five million hotel rooms.
“As the hospitality market accelerates its push into free-to-guest HDTV, satellite and cable providers are recognising a huge opportunity to expand their services,” said Barbara Bessolo, Senior Vice President of Connected Home Americas, Technicolor. “As their long standing supplier, we’re thrilled that DirecTV has selected Technicolor as the exclusive sole-source supplier for a head-end-based video solution to meet their Lodging and Institutions content distribution needs in the US for the years to come.”
