Fox Sports adds 4K coverage to Daytona

By Chris Forrester
Fox Sports is to capture some of the upcoming Daytona Speedway ‘Speedweeks 2013’ event in 4K, including using its own Fox Super Zoom 4K cameras. These units were developed for use in Fox Sports’ coverage of Major League Baseball and National Football League games.
Fox’s 4K camera captures footage at 300 frames per second and the 4K image capture subsequently allows the telecast director to zoom into the footage and view detail that would not be available from ‘ordinary’ HD cameras.
