Filmin selects Accedo to extend OTT services

Accedo, an enabler of TV application solutions, and Filmin, a Spanish subscription VoD provider, have announced a partnership to develop next generation Smart TV apps for multiple platforms.
The first official app launched under the partnership gives Samsung SmartTV and Bluray player viewers access to a subscription catalogue of 2,900 videos.
The two companies are also working together to develop next generation VoD apps for other platforms, and these are expected to launch in 2012 and 2013, across a number of different devices.
