Portugal surpassed 3 million pay TV subscribers by the end of June 2012, an increase of 10 per cent from 12 months previous1y according to figures from Portugal Telecom, Optimus, Zon Multimedia and Cabovisao.

Portugal Telecom added 238,000 new subscribers over the year, Zon Multimedia added 34,000 and Optimus added 4,010.

Cabovisao was the only Portuguese operator to drop pay-TV customers over the 12 months, with a loss of around 200 subscribers.
