Canal+ nears 13m subs

Canal Plus France, including its pay TV operations in mainland France, and Africa, attracted 211,000 new subscribers during the first quarter, ending March with a total of 12,817,000 customers.
Revenues increased slightly to €1.03 billion from €1 billion a year ago. In France, ARPU increased €47.6. In Poland and Vietnam, the Vivendi-owned operator attracted 81,000 pay TV customers, ending March with 1,720,000 subs.
Revenues from other Canal Plus Group operations, including production arm StudioCanal, resulted in an overall revenue increase of 3.4 per cent to €1.23 billion.
