Cartoon Network HD in SE Asia with GlobeCast
February 21, 2012
Cartoon Network HD has become the first HD children’s channel in Southeast Asia, after a deal with GlobeCast to deliver the channel via its capacity on the MEASAT-3 satellite.
GlobeCast is providing signal delivery from Cartoon Network in Hong Kong. The channel’s feed is fibered to GlobeCast’s Hong Kong teleport for uplink onto GlobeCast’s multiplex on MEASAT-3 DVB-S2 platform.
In joining GlobeCast’s capacity on MEASAT-3, Cartoon Network HD now is part of a well-established HDTV broadcast neighborhood alongside channels such as History HD, Discovery HD, Food Network HD, Fashion One HD, and many more, reaching all key HD pay-TV platforms in Southeast Asia.
