NetUP Android TV for IPTV access

IPTV equipment provider NetUP is preparing to launch an IPTV service with no IP set-top boxes required. The service includes a TV set that contains an Android-based IP STB integrated.
The device – which mainly targets hotels and residences – allows users to watch Live TV with interactive features, use Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and VoD services. Additinally, users can access Android features, including web browsing, social networking, gaming, YouTube, Skype and other applications all through the TV screen.
The TV set is currently available for pre-order at prices ranging from $565 and $1,150.
