The recent alliance between Prisa TV, owner of Digital Plus (now rebranded as Canal Plus) and premium channel Canal Plus and telco company Jazztel is already bearing fruit with the launch by mid November of their first joint HD VoD service called JazzBox now on trial that will have a monthly fee of €10.95.
The service will offer Canal Plus’ premium content on HD with more than 400 films (100 new each month), TV series and documentaries as well as sports events (Spanish Football League, European Football League, UK’s Premier and NBA Basketball championship) to all those Jazztel’s subscribers with a Jazzbox device (with a price of E99, now free-of-charge under promotion) connected to Jazztel router and TV.
Jazztel’s ADSL service has 1.047 million clients, with 62,066 new subs in the third quarter and with 56,519 TV services along with its partner Digital Plus.
