Google’s film rental service for Android has gone live in the UK, with users now able to rent films from the Android Market.

Over 1,000 movies are available at launch through the Video app with prices starting from £2.49 (€2.9) per film. Users can watch a rented any time within 30 days of purchase, with 48 hours to play with once they’ve hit play.
