DEV Systemtechnik expands in US
July 5, 2011
DEV Systemtechnik of Germany has announced the expansion of its North American presence with the formation of a US subsidiary, DEV America. DEV America will support growing customer requirements for the company’s leading-edge products that help satellite and cable television systems transmit, receive, switch, and distribute RF signals over coaxial and fiber optic cable.
“For years, our customers and leading broadcast systems integrators have chosen to deploy DEV equipment in solutions for critical on-air broadcast and satellite systems throughout the US,” said DEV CEO Joerg Schmidt. “With our increased US presence, DEV will be even better positioned to meet growing demand for our advanced technologies from satellite teleports, uplinks, direct-to-home (DTH) and IPTV head ends, as well as cable TV systems and playout facilities.”
“We also look forward to working closely with our current and new distributors in the US to help customers achieve the highest signal quality and reliability while reducing costs, overhead, rack space, power and heat consumption,” he added.
