WWE appoints Web TV to monetise
May 24, 2011
World Wrestling Entertainment has appointed video ad network Web TV Enterprise to monetise its UK online video content. The exclusive deal is aimed at increasing the reach of the entertainment broadcaster’s TV campaigns.
The first campaigns to roll out across the Web TV network include pre-rolls for the 20th Century Fox movie Cedar Rapids and Disney’s DVD Tron: Legacy.
Web TV Enterprise was recently acquired by display ad specialist Collective, six months after the latter’s UK launch. The acquisition was part of Collective’s plans to increase its video offering through data, targeting and analytics, combining in-banner and in-stream video ad formats to encourage brands to allocate more spend to online video.
