Echostar-18 now June 16 launch
June 9, 2016
By Chris Forrester
Two satellites due for launch June 8 on an Arianespace rocket have been delayed until June 16th.
Echostar-18 is the larger of the two satellites (the other is a smaller spacecraft being launched for an Indonesian bank) and is due to serve DISH Network viewers and will replace Echostar 10.
The delay is being caused by an on-board anomaly on the launch rocket and technicians are having to swap out a fluid connector on the cryogenic upper stage of the rocket.
