GVIDI, Deutsche Mailbox, We-TV, EBS create Program Metadata Alliance

GVIDI, Deutsche Mailbox, We-TV and EBS have joined forces to create the Program Metadata Alliance. This new alliance makes it possible to deliver the most accurate EPG metadata to TV providers all over Europe. With more than 2,500 EPG channels, which are updated throughout the day, the Program Metadata Alliance will be one of the most reliable and up-to-date EPG metadata sources for TV providers all over Europe.

GVIDI, Deutsche Mailbox, We-TV and EBS are all leading EPG data provider in their respective home countries. Therefore, it was a natural fit to bring them all together in cooperation to offer network operators and video service providers the most comprehensive, accurate and technically reliable enriched video programme metadata from across the alliance network.
Delivering a superior content discovery experience
The EPG content from the alliance, includes accurate and localised programme descriptions, and images for over 2,500 channels and is further enriched by online sources throughout the day. This ensures the latest information is made available to customers, enabling them to deliver a superior content discovery experience to their end-users.
