RR Media reports record revenues

Israel-based RR Media, now in the process of being acquired by satellite operator SES, report record revenues in the first quarter of 2106 of $35.6 million (€31.7m), up 17 per cent on the same period last year.
The SES purchase is expected to close mid-2016 when it will merge with SES subsidiary SES Platform Services.
RR Media’s gross profit was $7.09 million ($7.19 million in 2015), resulting in a gross margin of 20 per cent (23.6 per cent in 2015).
RR Media reported contracted backlog for 2016 deliveries of $100 million (up from $76 million in Q1/2015) and an overall backlog of $231 million.
