Spain: Mediapro’s profits up

Spanish TV group Mediapro, owner of La Liga TV rights, ended 2015 with an EBITDA of €129 million, up 40 per cent on last year, with plans to reach €170 million by the end of 2016.
With a staff of 4,300 people, the group has consolidated as one of the largest TV groups in Spain with additional operations in 20 countries. Mediapro claims to be leading the broadcasting of key live events internationally, above all sports events, with over 2,600 events in 2015.
In Spain, Mediapro claims to be the largest content producer with 44 TV projects in 2015 and 6,561 broadcasted hours, with programmes like El Intermedio, Aguila Roja, El Objetivo o Anclados or Zapeando.
