Italian thematic channel producer Giglio Group has signed a distribution agreement with leading Lebanese platform Cablevision for the Nautical Channel.
Cablevision offers its subscribers more than 134 channels both free and pay-per-view that air documentaries, news, TV series, music, fashion and sports.
The deal comes only three months after the launch of the Nautical Channel in the UAE and Oman where it has been enjoying much success. In fact, it is the only Italian TV channel to be present in the Middle East.
This latest development follows last month’s signing of a distribution deal with Comarex for the distribution of the Nautical Channel in Latin America.
The Nautical Channel broadcasts in six languages around the clock and is available in 45 countries. Launched in 2011, it is now present on over 100 TV platforms globally, of which about 80 are pay-TV, with over 20 million subscribers.
The nautical sports and lifestyle channel produces more than 300 hours of new content each year.
