TITAN Live powers 4K channel in France

ATEME has announced that that Basmedia, a centralised and decentralised playout service provider, is launching the HEVC Ultra-HD service “Festival 4K”, using TITAN Live.
TITAN Live is a virtualised software-based encoder-transcoder, with support for HEVC, H264 and MPEG2. TITAN Live supports resolutions from mobile devices to 4K-UHD.
“Basmedia is always searching for innovative partners to provide solutions for breakthrough channels like Festival 4K,” said Bas Ardesch at Basmedia “The TITAN Live enables us to offer 4K-UHD services, using COTS servers, while delivering high video quality with high density for our customers.”
