BT Sport Showcase to air Premiership Rugby

BT Sport is making three Aviva Premiership Rugby games available for everyone to watch in the first weeks of the new season on its Freeview BT Sport Showcase channel. The three games will include clashes between all four teams who finished in the playoff positions last season.
The first game of the season on October 16th and will see newly promoted Worcester Warriors starting at home against Northampton Saints. Viewers will be able to see more rugby union action on November 7th with Northampton Saints hosting current champions Saracens at Franklin’s Gardens. The final game on BT Sport Showcase in the opening six weeks will see Leicester Tigers versus Bath on November 29th.
“This is a big day for English club rugby,” said Premiership Rugby’s Commercial Director Dominic Hayes. “To see a selection of live Aviva Premiership Rugby matches on a free to air channel provides a fantastic shop window for the most compelling league in the world.”
The three games will be free-to-air on BT Sport’s Showcase channel, available on channel 59 on Freeview. UK viewers can also watch the games online at www.btsport.com, BT Sport 1, while Sky and Virgin Media will also make it available for all to watch.
